MANGALYAAN

 MANGALYAAN

PRIDE OF INDIA

Many countries researches or plans to go to Mars. But, Only four countries reached the Mars or to the Mars's Orbit. India is one of the four countries to reach the orbit of Mars by Mangalyaan. India reached at its First attempt with low cost. How Mangalyaan reached Mars? What is the purpose of Mangalyaan? Let's see about it.

HOHMAN TRANSFER:

MARS ORBITAL MISSION, MOM was planned in November 2013, It was launched in September 2014. The total cost of the Mangalyaan is 450 Crore Indian rupees. Mangalyaan is cheap and less fuel efficient when compared to other Mars Missions. India has achieved it in its First attempt. ISRO proved that India also has an ability to research Space at a low cost.  Mangalyaan was launched in PSLV C-25. a four staged rocket in 2014. Mangalyaan is in the Forth Stage. The Space craft takes Mangalyaan to Earth's Orbit and can't move it further because of Earth's Gravitational Force. So, The Space Craft is in the Earth's Orbit. The Escape Velocity of our Earth is 11.2km/sec. To attain this Speed, Mangalyaan uses Earth's  Gravitational Force as a Fuel. This Space Craft revolves in the Elliptical Path.

If it is in the Aphelion, It moves slowly. If it is in the Perihelion, It uses fuel to move fast and make the path more wider. At first, Mangalyaan escapes from the Sphere of Influence and enter into the Sun's Gravitational Field. Sphere of Influence is the Boundary of Earth's Gravitational Field. It escapes from the Sun's Gravitational Field by an angle of 44degrees from Earth and Mars. Then, It moves parallel to Mars's Orbital. If it stops in a perfect time, It enters to Mars's Orbital successfully. ISRO planned it perfectly and achieved it in the First attempt. Using the  Gravitational Force as a Fuel is called HOHMAN TRANSFER. Mangalyaan travels 780 Million Kilometers to reach Mars. But, The Fuel efficiency of this Mission is equal to the Fuel needed to reach Moon from Earth. It is only 7 Indian rupees per Kilometer.

ACHIEVEMENT OF MANGALYAAN:

The First thing is, India also has an ability to reach Mars at low cost and low Fuel efficiency. But, In first attempt. It didn't goes too close to Mars. It researches the Carbon-di-Oxide and Methane present in the Mars's Atmosphere. Mangalyaan has a Normal Camera. The images of Mars by Mangalyaan is very important. Because, Mars forms many Sand Strom. It forms Sand Strom is almost equal to the size of its North Pole. Mangalyaan captures the Poles and Volcanos of the Mars. It shows that Mars had a Big Ocean Long Years ago. Mangalyaan is successfully running even now also. To remember Mangalyaan, The Indian Government printed the Photo of Mangalyaan in the back side of 2000 rupees note of Indian Currency.

THE CONCLUSION:

The Mangalyaan-II will be planned to launch before 2024. Why Government spent more money to these Space Missions? Is it necessary? Well, Film Industries Hundreds of Crores and Tourism also spends Hundreds of Crores. Spending Money to Space Missions also change country from a Developing Country to a Developed Country like India. One Day India will become a Developed Country. JAI HIND
