BARNARD STAR

 BARNARD STAR

A star is coming near to our Solar System. After 10,000 years this will be the nearest star to our Solar System. This Star has a planet revolves around it like our Earth. Let's see about it.

DISCOVERY OF BANARD:

Barnard star is at a distance of 6 light years from our Solar System. The Star was discovered by EDWARD BARNARD in 1916. Barnard Star is the only single star that is nearest star to our Sun. It is a RED DWARF GIANT STAR. This star is the forth nearest star to our Solar System. Barnard only has 14% mass and 3% brightness of our Sun. If we compare this star to our Sun, it looks like a GRAPES. Barnard is originated from approximately,1000-1200 crore years ago. Barnard may originated before the origination of our MILKY-WAY GALAXY. Barnard has a record of ONE OF THE FASTEST MOVING STAR, which moves 110 kilometer/second to our Sun. Barnard is the nearest star to our Solar System after 10,000-11,000 years. Barnard can't able to see in our naked eye. This is present in OPHIUCHUS CONSTELLATIONS.

SUPER EARTH:

Barnard is only visible in a good telescope with Ultra-Violet filter. Barnard is sometimes shows Red-Shift and sometimes Blue-Shift. Barnard is still active by stellar in which it emits stellar winds. Barnard has a planet revolves around it named BARNARD-B. Barnard-B is also called as SUPER EARTH. This planet is the second nearest planet which is considered as super Earth. The first super Earth is probably PROXIMA-B. A similarity between this two planets is both of them revolves around a RED DWARF GIANT STAR.

BARNARD-B:

In later period, scientists discovered that Barnard wobbles(It is not actually in center point it wobbles through an impact of Barnard-B.) Well in our Solar System, Our Sun also wobbles through an impact of Jupiter. This super Earth is a snow giant which is 3 times more mass than our Earth. The upper surface of the planet is covered with snow, but inside the snow there may be water in liquid state. The average temperature of the planet is -170 degree celcius. So, there is no chance of human live in that planet.  Barnard-B is 0.4 astronomical unit to Barnard star. This planet takes 233 days to complete one rotation .

THE CONCLUSION:

In future, Barnard further researched and we will know more about Barnard.

  1. What is mean by the "super earth " it sounds like the solar system has another planet which also contains place like our earth 🌎
